It doesn’t write your novel. It studies it.
- No ghostwriting. It never replaces your prose or edits without you. It only suggests.
- It judges the book against your intentions, not a template for what a novel should be. Tell it what you meant; correct it where it’s wrong.
- It won’t bluff. If the analysis doesn’t meet its own standard, it says so — you get an honest failure, not a confident invention.
You remain the author. Novel Maestro isn’t a shortcut around the work — it’s a straighter way through it.

A few things you might be wondering
Is the assessment really free?
Yes. Each free account includes one whole-book reading and Maestro’s First Take in full. There is no credit card. The Developmental Report and the deeper tools need paid access, which is optional.
What happens to my manuscript?
It is private by default, encrypted in transit and stored on access-controlled infrastructure. It is never used to train AI models — not by us, and not by the providers who process the text, under the paid terms we use. A small number of authorised staff may access content where it is necessary to investigate a fault or answer a support request. You can delete your work or your account at any time. The privacy policy sets all of this out in full.
Is this AI feedback or a human editor?
It is an AI analysis of your manuscript, and it does not write or rewrite your novel. It can misread things. Every editorial decision stays with you, and you can correct its reading of what you meant the book to be.
What can I upload?
.docx, .txt, .md, .epub, and .pdf files, from 5,000 words. Finished or unfinished, and however rough it is.
Does it work for my genre?
You choose from 106 genres across 8 families, and your draft is read against what your genre leads a reader to expect — not against one idea of what a novel should be. Genre Promises is one of the 14 diagnostics.
